OAR Supports Pandemic Program Funding for Imaging Technologists and Front-Line DI Admin Staff
The OAR is actively working behind the scenes to ensure that all hospital and IHF imaging technologists and DI administrative staff are included in the Ontario government’s pandemic $4/hour top-up announcement. We are doing this because our technologists and administrative staff are working bravely on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the OAR’s letter to Premier Ford we encouraged him to ensure that all DI technologists and front-line administrative staff be included in view of the significant role they continue to play as critical members during this crisis.
We are disappointed that DI technologists and front-line DI administrative staff in all practice settings were over-looked. Promptly rectifying this decision is the right thing to do as an important sign of respect and recognition that is consistent with the purpose of the government’s announcement. We will keep you informed.
