In Memoriam - Dr. David Lyons

It is with great sadness that we advise members that long-time Chair of the OAR’s CBMD Facility Accreditation Program, Dr. David Lyons passed away peacefully this morning after a three-month battle with esophageal cancer. Dr. Lyons was 70 years old and will be known to hundreds of radiologists and technologists across Canada as the driving force behind the Canadian Bone Mineral Densitometry (CBMD) CME program and the Facility Accreditation which is recognized as the "Gold Standard" of BMD Accreditation for Ontario hospitals and clinics providing BMD.

Dr. Lyons was a very special person who touched many colleagues across Ontario and Canada. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
